Hamilton Tour

Enjoy an Alexander Hamilton tour in New York City inspired by the popular Broadway musical.

Welcome. I’m Doug Fox, a New York City tour guide. I would like to invite you to participate in my Hamilton tour, which takes place in Lower Manhattan. Below you will find a description of this tour, a listing of sites we will visit, and the names of the famous and infamous people we will discuss.

Hamilton: An American Musical has been a blockbuster sensation, captivating theatergoers with its hip hop-inspired narrative about the life and times of Alexander Hamilton.

Hamilton was unique among the founding fathers, an orphan and an immigrant without financial means who relied upon his grit and brains to make important contributions to the creation of the United States as a soldier, scholar, lawyer and first Secretary of the Treasury.

My Hamilton tour (usually 2 hours in length) connects the stories and lyrics of the hit musical by Lin-Manuel Miranda with the many locations in Lower Manhattan where these events unfolded. Miranda’s musical is inspired by Ron Chernow’s Alexander Hamilton biography, which also informs the content of this tour.

Please visit the Book a Tour page, for tour prices and booking information.

Whether you are planning to see the musical, or just want to learn about Hamilton’s many contributions to the American Revolution and young republic, this Hamilton tour will give you a wealth of insights and first hand experiences.

During this Hamilton tour, I will delve into the lives and personalities of Alexander Hamilton, Aaron Burr, Elizabeth Hamilton, Angelica Schuyler Church, George Washington, King George III, Thomas Jefferson, Hercules Mulligan and others.
